Forgive and Forget?

100 word chlallenge

The prompt word is “remember”

Forgive and forget?

How many times do we hear that expression? If we forgive why is there that pressure that you must absolutely forget or else…Or else then what? The sky is going to fall? Is the person going to feel less forgiven?

Well, sorry, it just does not work that way. If you screw up, intentionally or unintentionally you have to face the music.  But to forget…nah-un…it goes under the belt of that person’s list of things they endured, learned to overcome.   Similarly, it goes under your list of mistakes you’ve, hopefully,  learned from…if you forget, you just might do it again.

  1. Just because you have forgotten does not mean it has been forgiven. Just because you forgave doesn’t mean you should forget. Those moments helped to shape the both of you.
