A little bit about moi: I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator. I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors. Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin http://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka. I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other. http://stigmahursteveryone.wordpress.com Namaste!

  1. I have to admit Cheryl-Lynn I thought the video made a very sound point but then I was distracted by the links to some other very funny India vids as well.
I too thought your poem was excellent.

  2. A very bold video. Although, largely, I think the ironic sarcastic tone works well. Some warning of “TRIGGERING LANGUAGE” should have been included. Not sure how to take this one.

I do love your poem though, it perfectly shows the imbalance and double standard often attached to victims of sexual assault.

    Stop the Stigma indeed

    1. Point taken, thank you …I will add that warning …I posted it on another blog…Thanks again; the stigma is certainly still there all over the world. Hope you are well, and studying real hard and madly in love 🙂

      1. Definitely madly in love, but the studying fluctuates like mad at the moment. 🙂 Hope you are well also, thank you for all that you do–you campaign on behalf of so many that don’t have such a bold voice.
