in salty liquid
steam doth rose
from scalding heat,
soaking like a marinade
softens like a serenade
bathed in salted water
feeling such a deepened shift
from this swift
gasps for air,
heart is seized
tears that seep
and wet her cheek
cleanse her face
panes of the soul
halts the throb
her aching dole.

A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin http://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

Ah this so so refreshing and relaxing…
It really is…so simple…just a bit of hot water and sea salt. It’s like adding oil to the joints…lol
Will have to give that a go…could use a little sea…even if in the tub! 🙂
Yeah, me thinks I will move into that tub for the weekend:)
lol…you’ll get all full of wrinkles!
ah who cares, I’m single…lol and Bette loves me any way I look:)
You’ve go two good points there! 😀
I’m actually too nervous to relax in a bath anymore…but I always recommend it for my siblings because it helps them.
It also makes your skin nice and smooth:)
lovely Cher, I like the use of ‘dole’ at the end. Well done
Thank you! I had 3 parts to it but this was the most positive, so I thought I would do one per day not to take away that soothing feel of this one:) I actually felt tears of joy when the pain lifted this morning in that yummy hot bath:)
Great for you I can well understand your joy then. Yes a bit at a time is good just think of WP attention spans….lol
and I am trying to take a break, right?
Well that’s what thought but sometimes the best laid plans eh?
Just thought it was positive to share my relief;)
I agree when it arrives and you are feeling good about shout it out.
Shouldn’t you be asleep or having a break?
I’m off now:)
Well good night then. Sleep well.
Mikey, my big brother:)
Reblogged this on Traces of the Soul.
Being 110% honest, I take a detox bath with Epsom salts every single night! Water is the leading contender for my chronic pain.
I do not do this enough…gosh, I need to post this to push ME to do it daily…the salt I mean, not the hot bath…lol 😛
