Losing control

A brave soul who takes the time to inspire people.  This piece made me realize how we DO take things for granted.  How we whine and complain about the weather (I do) and yet…

Losing control.

A little bit about moi: I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator. I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors. Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin http://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka. I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other. http://stigmahursteveryone.wordpress.com Namaste!

  1. For some reason I can’t reply above, anyway

I genuinely understand the logic behind your pain management. I have spasms and although they are painful, I get to see my whole body moving. I’m not in control but similarly to you, that lets me know that I am still one complete body. Not something I feel often.

  2. I am honoured, thank you for the support.

To be completely honest, I started this blog to help myself, not others. I thought writing about what has happened and how I feel would be therapeutic, which it has been. However, the motivation to continue comes from good people like yourself who let me know I am helping others. That is the real therapy, a sense of purpose.

Thank you so much for the encouragement

    1. Steven, I too have 3 blogs (one is anonymous) and all were born out of my personal need to share, and one is a form of release and therapy. I have found a few blogs that inspire me to write more. I have a condition where I am in pain most days but refuse to take heavy pain killers. My reasoning is, when I feel pain, I know that I am alive and able to feel. So I`m lucky.
